Melissa
Page is a writer, certified massage therapist, athlete and entrepreneur.
A long-time resident of Cambria, CA, she was graduated from Coast
Union High School and studied Kinesiology at Cal-Poly San Luis
Obispo. Currently she is working as Manager of Conserv Fuel,
on Broad Street, in San Luis Obispo, CA.
The variety of skills required for this job have been honed during
a variety of her past job experiences. Melissa has, over the
course of the past 15 years, held many different titles and many
different jobs. For two years she was an independent contractor
with Tri-California, preparing and serving meals for up to 120
people at the organization’s events. She also has been a correctional
officer in SLO County Sheriff’s Department, cashier/cook at several
establishments in Cambria and SLO, and a courier for Federal
Express.
A principal
in the Central Coast Pep Squad, Melissa helps to perform pep rallies
for service, social and business groups, themed to spread cheer
worldwide. She plays Ladies
Tackle Football, Women’s League Soccer and Slow Pitch Softball,
and enjoys hiking, water sports, physical adventure and exercise
in general. In collaboration with her mother (Stephanie Stacy)
and grandmother (Jan Allyson) she has participated in writing
the first of a five-book fantasy/suspense series, Alexandra
and the Mystery of the Keys,
emphasizing the Pep Squad theme.
Melissa’s strong
family ties prompted her to serve as surrogate for her late sister
(Courtney) and brother-in-law (Rob Yates) and in October 2006 she
gave birth to her beloved niece, Mackenzie. With no children of
her own, she says she is mother only to her 42-pound boxer Daizee
